Day Two
*siren*
KEBAKARAN! KEBAKARAN!
Everyone looked confused. We rushed out, putting on our slippers and life vest. What's going on? There's no fire...
Everyone from the three groups gathered around in an open field. The girls were still in the house. And they creeped out slowly. After all of us were there, we were told that it is a fire drill. Fuhh, what an experience. The instructor was disappointed because the girls were late; it took them 4 minutes to get out.By that time, it was already 5.30 in the morning.

At 6pm sharp, we had an assembly. Started with singing of national anthem and then recitation of prayer. The funny thing is we must tucked in our shirt. Looked weird~
After that, we had an aerobic session. We warmed up our body by doing several exercise. Then, we headed to the gate outside and did morning jog. Pheww, it feels nice. I prefer jogging here in Temburong rather than in hostel. (: We jogged for 3km. Me & Ambroce raced against Amelia and we reached the gate first. Once all of us reached the gate, we did some stretching on our muscles.
Then we go back to the meeting point and wore life vest and helmet and crossed the river via bridge. We changed our outfit to wet attire. We're going into the water!! WWEEHEEE!!
While waiting for the others to arrive, me, Lely and the rest learn how to float on our back.
Our activity for the second day is floating. Sounds easy. We must float ourself from the rocky part to the staircase besides the river. All of us hold on onto each other's life vest and went into the icy cold water. Then when we were instructed to float away, all of us floated. But then kan, I lose grip and get swept away. I was separated from my friend. I panicked. I tried to look for my friend to hold on to but can't find one. pity me~ Then there was hope. I saw Shely and called her name. I grabbed onto her vest but again, I lose grip. She floated away. Then I saw Amir and grabbed him. I was damn panic! What if I get swept downstream?huhuhu~
Once I saw the suspended bridge above me, I changed my position to aggressive swimming. Finally I reached the staircase.thank god~
malas ku kn becerita panjang2 disini ane..haihh..let me list down what happened:
>kami tukar pakaian utk trekking.I wore Environmental Club Tshirt, long pants and sport shoes. Nyaman rasanya di badan~ the problem is, aku nada trekking shoes.hmphh...
>kami ke sebarang, bawa beg yg barat atuu...kan me-reduce barang pakaian di dlm beg..bawa yg penting saja utk trekking...
>kami packed foodstuffs and other equipments dalam bag. It felt so damn heavy!
>trekking naik bukit turun bukit. Total bukit yang kami naik turun: 23 hills!!!! gila kalii..bnyk jua tuu...
ane baru bukit yg pertama...kami paksa lalu jalan sini...Originally, it used to be a jungle~ But kana clear kan....
it's not easy to climb uphill with those heavy bags
having a rest under the scorching sun
I was so desperate that I used my Tshirt to cover my head.
Shely nearly gave up... Ohyea, look a Lely.. She's small but she's strong. Go Lely!
It's not easy to climb up. My shoes frequently get stucked on the soil.
lawa eh sunglasses cFirah. Jadi model ea arah hutan Temburong.LOL!!!
Firah & me...
our next stop.I don't mind if my clothes are dirty, as long I reach the campsite. (:
I nearly fainted out due to hot temperature. Imagine, walking under the scorching sun for about 4 hours~
look at that road...it's muddy...if there's nobody around there, I would take a dip on the water.
Ohyea, for your information, I finished up three bottles. You know how desperate we are when there's no water.
>I was the fifth last to reach the top of the hill, where there's shade. Thanks a lot to Firah 'cause she helped me carried my heavy bag and thanks for pulling me. =) Love you buddy! =)
>Then jungle trekking. Felt better under the big trees. It nearly took us half an hour to reach the campsite. Ohyea, we were going downhill.
>By the time we reached Kem Semut, I felt like I was in heaven.HAHA! yeah, banar~ pasal labih 4 jam bejalan di bawah matahari. Sampai rah Kem Semut, barutah nyaman rasanya. Inda lagi payah kn sikut beg yg barat atu
>We setted up tents, kitchen, toilet...some collect water from the river, other unpacking their stuffs.
setting up tent
the green tent was 6 tent...we, the guys, slept there~
>We cleaned ourself at the river. That time, it was raining. Siuk!! Bukan selalu mandi arah Sungai Temburong.... :P
William & Amir trying to set up camp fire. They said they don't want to use gasoline. Back-to-basic.... Mcm banar durang ah, iya jua pakai lighter.LOLS!
This is me. Miji in the jungle!
that's our kitchen...
Lely cooked sotong. I don't like sotong...
>I cooked Corned Beef and Chicken Curry for dinner. Yohh, jadi Chef ku eh. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring Maggi & Rice. Kesian Amelia, inda makan, cuz she's vegetarian.
>Kami ada briefing... But this time, kami arah dakat sungai..Kami duduk rah tampat batu2 atuu...sakit jubur tapi siuk~HAHAHA! Haji Ruslan sampat lagi becerita and becali. Awal kami tidur, dalam pukul 9.
>Before we went to sleep, we poured Prickly Heat Powder around our tent. Purpose: to repel insects from crawling inside. And then, set up mosquito repellent. It's not comfortable sleeping in these huge rainforest, away from civilisation. It was pitch dark and the only thing I can hear is the sound of insects and river.
to be continued...
